Restoration of the Grand Ducal stables
Seravezza (LU)
Commissioned by the City of Seravezza (LU). The sixteenth-century stables of the Medici palace, built by Cosimo I de’ Medici around 1560, had been abandoned for decades and reduced to a state of ruin. Over the centuries, the stables were converted into a theatre and then, in the postwar, into a cinema. The project, divided into several functional lots, involved the architectural and static restoration, allowing the recovery of the theatre. The photographic documentation shows the amount of work done, divided into several lots and in different years.
