The Church of San Remigio

San Remigio in Fosdinovo (MS)

Commissioned by the Church of San Remigio. - The old church of Fosdinovo, is characterized by broad coverage and the original layer, made of tiles, had been replaced after the war with with asbestos cement sheets that needed to be replaced. A static test showed that the wooden warping and the trusses were not able to support a plank and a new layer of roof made of tiles. It was then necessary to strengthen the existing trusses with metal structures that were anchored to the existing perimeter wall. At the end of the consolidation of the trusses was possible to replace the layer of abestos-roof with a traditional layer of tiles..
